Suspect arrested for murder of beheaded woman

(ANSA) - ROME, FEB 20 - Police on Thursday arrested a man suspected of murdering a woman whose beheaded body was found on Wednesday at a site formerly operated by a branch of the National Research Council (CNR) at Scandicci outside Florence. The victim is a 44-year-old homeless German woman, sources said. There were traces of blood on the clothes of the suspect, a 30-year-old homeless Moroccan man, the sources said. The suspect is in hospital after being found in a disturbed state on February 18 and being committed to mental health treatment.
