Czech Villages Face Water Shortages as Wells Dry Up

Several villages in the Czech Republic, including Sebranice and Dobré, are experiencing severe drinking water shortages as their municipal wells have dried up. Residents are being asked to conserve water, with restrictions on activities like watering and car washing, and cisterns have been deployed to supply affected areas.

Kdo si chce v Sebranicích na Boskovicku zalít zahradu, umýt auto nebo napustit bazén, nesmí použít pitnou vodu z vodovodu. Jinak by mohl dostat pokutu ve výši až 50 000 korun. Tamní vodojem je totiž zásobovaný z podzemního vrtu, ve kterém vody kriticky ubylo. Od začátku srpna proto smějí místní kohoutkovou vodu použít jen na vaření nebo třeba k hygieně.
