Bab Sebta: Authorities Foil Attempt to Smuggle Nearly 70 kg of Chira

Rabat – Moroccan customs and police officials intercepted a major drug trafficking attempt on Saturday, March 7, at around 8:15 a.m. at the Bab Sebta border crossing, seizing 69.8 kilograms of chira hidden inside a vehicle, according to customs sources. In a joint operation, officers discovered the illicit substance meticulously concealed in multiple compartments of the vehicle. The operation led to the arrest of the driver, who was handed over to the judicial police for further investigation. This seizure is part of ongoing efforts by Moroccan authorities to combat drug trafficking and organized crime.
