Suspect in Shiga assault stabs police officer and flees

A 53-year-old suspect in an assault case stabbed a police investigator with a screwdriver-like object in Higashiomi City, Shiga Prefecture, and then fled in a brown light passenger car. Police are currently searching for the man.
