China enacts new legislation to combat cross-border corruption and asset recovery

Chinese lawmakers have passed comprehensive legal measures to close loopholes in prosecuting overseas corruption, tracking fugitives, and repatriating illicit funds. The legislation strengthens domestic authorities’ capacity to pursue financial crimes beyond national borders.
