Conference Board CEO on C-Suite Optimism, Hiring Plans

Steve Odland, CEO of the Conference Board, discussed the latest CEO confidence survey results, which showed an increase from 47 to 52 between the second and third quarters of 2026, moving the index into positive territory. The second quarter's negative reading was largely attributed to geopolitical tensions in the Middle East, particularly the war in Iran and the resulting spike in oil prices to around $120 per barrel.
