The Czech government has confirmed the closure of regional Eurocenters, stating that personal communication on European affairs, such as school lectures and cultural events, is too expensive and outdated in 2026. The move aims to save 10 million annually and foster better online dialogue with citizens.

Osobní komunikace o evropských záležitostech, jako přednášky ve školách nebo kulturní akce, jsou v roce 2026 příliš drahé a přežité. Úřad vlády tak v pondělí odůvodnil rušení regionálních eurocenter a vytvoření nové koncepce informování občanů o Evropské unii. Premiér Andrej Babiš (ANO) po jednání vlády uvedl, že stát tím ušetří 10 milionů korun ročně. Jak bude vypadat nová koncepce a na kolik přesně vyjde, ale zatím Úřad vlády neví.
