Ve sněmovně momentálně leží novela zákona, která by myslivcům zakazovala střílení toulavých psů a koček. Podle poslanců, kteří zákaz navrhují, by za zvířata měli více odpovědnosti nést jejich majitelé. Pro jsou též ochranářské spolky. Návrh ale kritizují samotní myslivci.
