Czech Television warns of 500 layoffs if budget cut by CZK 1 billion

Czech Television (ČT) announced it would have to lay off 300 to 500 employees if the government's proposed budget cut of approximately one billion Czech crowns for the next year is implemented.

Česká televize (ČT) by v případě snížení rozpočtu o zhruba miliardu korun, se kterým od příštího roku počítá vládní návrh zákona, musela propustit 300 až 500 lidí. Na středeční konferenci Digimedia to uvedl zástupce generálního ředitele (ČT) Milan Fridrich. V současnosti má ČT téměř 3000 zaměstnanců a rozpočet 8,5 miliardy korun.
