Czech Village Plans Flood Prevention Measures

The Czech village of Barchov in the Pardubice region plans to implement flood prevention measures this autumn, including the construction of a large pond and the restoration of the Podolský stream to its natural meandering course.

Potok na Pardubicku znovu poteče v meandrech. Obec získala milionovou dotaci, chce se bránit povodním

Obec Barchov na Pardubicku plánuje na podzim budovat protipovodňová opatření za víc než pět milionů. Součástí bude stavba velké tůně a úprava koryta Podolského potoka. Ten nově poteče v meandrech, což by mělo zpomalit odtok vody při případných povodních. Barchov úpravy plánoval už loni, proces ale zbrzdilo dlouhé čekání na přidělení dotace.
