Lithuanian Border Guards Seize Millions in Counterfeit Cigarettes

Border guards in Kelmė district, Lithuania, seized 352 boxes (176,000 packs) of contraband cigarettes without excise stamps and arrested three suspects. The cigarettes, including 'Davidoff Gold' and 'Parliament,' are suspected to be counterfeited in an underground Latvian factory.

Kelmės rajone pasieniečiai sulaikė 352 dėžes (176 tūkst. pakelių) kontrabandinių cigarečių be banderolių ir tris įtariamuosius. Įtariama, kad cigaretės padirbtos pogrindiniame Latvijos fabrike. Tarp rastų cigarečių – „Davidoff Gold“ ir „Parliament“, tokių prekės ženklų klastotės randamos pirmą kartą.
