Montenegro Government Challenges Municipalities on Social Service Costs

The Montenegrin government has proposed to the Constitutional Court to reject an initiative by municipalities regarding the transfer of social service costs, arguing that amendments to the Law on Social and Child Protection do not threaten local self-government's financial autonomy.
