'Stone pelting, highway blockade': Protest erupts after BJP denies leader bypoll ticket

Supporters of Narottam Mishra protested the BJP's decision to deny him a ticket. They blocked the Jhansi-Gwalior highway, demanding the party reconsider its candidate choice. This action caused significant traffic disruptions for several hours on Friday evening. The BJP had announced Ashutosh Tiwari as their candidate for the Datia by-election. Local party office bearers also submitted resignations in solidarity with Mishra.
