UP man humiliates son with shoe garland for ‘embracing Christianity’

A 65-year-old man and his younger son were arrested in Hathras, UP, after the father publicly disowned and humiliated his older son and wife over suspected conversion to Christianity. The father demanded a social boycott and forced the couple to wear a garland of shoes at a village panchayat. Police have registered an FIR and initiated legal proceedings.
