Serbian Professor Calls for Ban on GMO Food Imports

Professor Miladin Ševarlić from the Faculty of Agriculture in Belgrade has urged an urgent ban on imports of meat, milk, eggs, and their derivatives unless importers provide certificates confirming no genetically modified organisms (GMO) were used.

Profesor Poljoprivrednog fakulteta u Beogradu Miladin Ševarlić apelovao je danas da se hitno zabrani uvoz mesa, mleka, jaja i perađevina na bazi tih proizvoda ako uvoznik nema od kupca dostavljene sertifikate da nije korišćen genetski modifikon (GMO) koncentrat ili GMO kabasta hrana.
