A Latvian has started in the world's toughest race for the first time

Andris Ansabergs, who lives in Spain, tried his luck in mid-February at the Barkley Marathon in the USA, where none of the 40 participants managed to finish. In the 30-year period since 1995.

Spānijā dzīvojošais Andris Ansabergs februāra vidū izmēģināja laimi ASV notiekošajā Bārklija maratonā ("Barkley Marathon"), kurā nespēja finišēt neviens no 40 dalībniekiem. 30 gadu periodā kopš 1995. gada finiša līniju 60 stundu laikā Tenesī štatā šķērsojuši vien 20 dalībnieki, tostarp viena sieviete aizpērn.
