PNP orders police assistance for students during class suspensions

MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine National Police (PNP) ordered its personnel to provide assistance to students during class suspensions amid inclement weather. In a statement on Friday, PNP chief Gen. Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr. said police units must increase their presence around school zones, transport hubs and flood-prone areas when local government units suspend classes.
