Monsoon Rains and Storms Cause Widespread Flooding and Deaths in the Philippines

Heavy monsoon rains, exacerbated by tropical storms Maymay and Luis, have caused extensive flooding across the Philippines, particularly in Luzon and Pampanga, leading to at least 26 deaths and affecting over 111,000 families. The severe weather also resulted in significant agricultural damage and large accumulations of waste in Manila's waterways.
