DR Congo says Ebola outbreak still at early stage but cases rising. The Ministry of Health of the Democratic Republic of Congo announced on Tuesday that the country's latest Ebola outbreak is still in its early stages, but the number of cases is increasing. The ministry said that as of Monday, there were 11 confirmed cases and 21 suspected cases in the western province of Equateur. The outbreak was first declared on May 28. The ministry said that the government is working with the World Health Organization and other international partners to contain the outbreak. The government has also deployed a rapid response team to the affected area to investigate the source of the outbreak and to provide medical care to those affected.
