Algarve Landfill Expansion Not Sustainable for Waste Treatment
The expansion of existing landfills in the Algarve region is not a sustainable solution for waste treatment, according to the Almaragem association. They warn that current landfills are expected to reach saturation capacity by 2028 and advocate for mechanical and biological treatment methods.
