‘Medical negligence’: State consumer panel orders Mohali hospital, doctors to pay Rs 45 lakh for teenager’s death
A state consumer disputes redressal commission has directed a Mohali-based hospital and its doctors to pay a compensation of Rs 45 lakh to the family of a teenager who died due to alleged medical negligence. The panel found the hospital and the medical practitioners guilty of deficiency in service and adopting unfair trade practices.
