Thousands of Lightning Strikes Cause Widespread Power Outages in South Iceland
Approximately three thousand lightning strikes were recorded in Iceland yesterday, with one strike on Búrfellslína 1 causing significant power disruptions across South Iceland, including parts of Mosfellsbær, areas from Landeyjar to Vík í Mýrdal, Vestmannaeyjar, and Borgarfjörður eystri.
