Aging population threatens Spain's welfare state as few contribute more than they receive

Spain's aging population poses a threat to its welfare state, with only four out of ten Spaniards contributing more in taxes than they receive over their lifetime. The fiscal balance is projected to soar from 1.9% to 9.1% of GDP by 2050.
