Record Flood Measured in Blanda River, Iceland
Following heavy rainfall and low-pressure systems in northwest Iceland in February and March, significant snowmelt in late April caused the largest flood ever recorded in the Blanda river, with approximately 626 cubic meters of water per second flowing into Blöndulón on April 28.
