Germany Considers Mandatory Video Surveillance in Large Slaughterhouses

Germany's Ministry of Agriculture has proposed a draft law that would make video surveillance mandatory in larger slaughterhouses to ensure animal welfare. Smaller farms could also be subject to surveillance if there are suspicions of animal welfare violations.
