400-Year-Old Lithuanian Oak Crowned European Tree of the Year; Portugal's Cedar Ranks Sixth

The Laukiai Oak, a 400-year-old tree from the village of Rukai in central Lithuania, has won the 15th edition of the prestigious European Tree of the Year competition. Portugal's Cedar of Torres Vedras secured the sixth position in the contest.
