Crime Rates Decline in India, But Pending Cases Remain High in 2024

Crimes recorded under the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita (BNS) contributed to a decrease in overall crime rates in 2024, however, the number of pending cases did not see a similar decline.
