No. 6 UConn men smash No. 15 St. John’s 72-40, get revenge and a signature victory
PeoplesBank Arena in Hartford got as loud as it’s been in a generation of UConn men’s basketball on Wednesday night, as the No. 6 Huskies routed the No. 15 St. John’s Red Storm 72-40. Fueled by 20 points, 11 rebounds and six blocks from senior center Tarris Reed, Jr., UConn improved to 26-3 and 16-2 in Big East Conference play. St. John’s fell to 22-6 and 15-2 in league play.
