Civil Guard Chief Admits Asking UCO Not to Be 'Proactive' in Investigation

Manuel Llamas, the operational head of the Civil Guard, admitted to a judge that he asked the UCO (Central Operative Unit) not to be 'proactive' in an investigation, and that the Interior Minister, Fernando Grande-Marlaska, inquired about why the email of the President's wife, Begoña Gómez, appeared in a police report.
