EU Restricts Amalgam Fillings Due to Mercury Content

Dental practices in the Czech Republic will see changes from July as the EU restricts amalgam, a mercury-containing material, for routine use, replacing most fillings with white ones.

Zubní ordinace čeká od července změna v tom, jaké výplně se budou běžně používat. Amalgám, materiál, který obsahuje rtuť, totiž končí jako běžně používaná varianta a zůstane jen pro výjimečné situace. Většinu výplní tak nahradí bílé plomby.
