EU Commissioner Maroš Šefčovič stated that Brussels aims to balance trade relations with China, citing the unsustainable trend of growing Chinese exports to the EU while the EU's share in the Chinese market diminishes.

Čínský vývoz do Evropské unie neustále roste, zatímco podíl EU na čínském trhu se zmenšuje, tento trend není udržitelný, uvedl komisař pro obchod Maroš Šefčovič po pondělním jednání s čínským ministrem obchodu Wang Wen-tchaem. Čína a EU podle něj v pondělí zahájily konzultace o obchodu a investicích. Do října by měly být vidět hmatatelné výsledky. Komisař se na podzim rovněž chystá do Pekingu.
