Lost Shtetl Museum Acquires Chaim Frenkel Synagogue for Reconstruction

The 'Lost Shtetl' Jewish history museum in Šeduva has acquired the historic Chaim Frenkel Synagogue in Šiauliai, a brick building constructed in 1907 that is currently in poor condition, with plans for its reconstruction and adaptation for use.

Muziejus „Dingęs štetlas“ atgaivins istorinę Chaimo Frenkelio sinagogą Šiauliuose

Šeduvos žydų istorijos muziejus „Dingęs štetlas“ įsigijo Šiauliuose esančią Chaimo Frenkelio sinagogą. 1907 metais pastatytas mūrinis pastatas šiuo metu yra prastos būklės, todėl muziejaus planuose – jo rekonstrukcija ir pritaikymas naudojimui. Planuojama, kad po rekonstrukcijos sinagoga vėl atliks savo pirminę paskirtį – taps veikiančiais žydų maldos namais.
