Portuguese Government Approves Dam Construction in Fish Sanctuary

The Portuguese government has approved the construction of two dams in the Terges and Cobres and Carreiras streams, south of Mértola, an area critical for the endangered saramugo fish, the smallest fish in Portuguese rivers.
