The Gujarat High Court upheld a special court's verdict in the 2008 serial blasts case. Thirty-eight individuals received the death sentence, and eleven others were awarded life imprisonment. The court also ordered the state government to provide compensation to victims of the blasts. Compensation amounts were specified for deaths and various injury types.
