Pregnant woman fights for life after stray bullet at burial rites in Ashanti Region; unborn baby dies

A 19-year-old pregnant woman is battling for her life after being struck by a stray bullet during burial rites at Hiawu Besease in the Atwima Nwabiagya South District. The victim, identified as Alice Serwaa, was reportedly shot in the abdomen on Thursday night during the final funeral rites of a late queen mother in the community. She is currently receiving treatment at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital, where medical personnel are working to stabilise her condition.
