With spears & swords, Nihangs stay locked inside Uttarakhand gurdwara

A tense standoff at a Uttarakhand gurdwara entered its third day with Nihang Sikhs holding out, reportedly demanding the release of four arrested individuals. Punjab's Chief Minister has urged an amicable resolution through talks. While police maintain the incident is unrelated to a prior clash in Karnaprayag, a Sikh organization suggests the dispute stemmed from accommodation issues for pilgrims heading to Hemkund Sahib.
