Global March Temperatures Near Records, Fueling Droughts and El Niño Concerns
More than half of the United States is experiencing drought conditions following near-record March temperatures. The European observatory Copernicus reports Europe also had its second warmest March, with ocean temperatures nearing record highs, contributing to a sustained global average monthly temperature rise and hinting at a potential return of El Niño.
