IPL franchises’ pre-season camps are scattered across India, even overseas and it underscores a worrying drift from the idea of “home.” By training and sometimes playing matches far from their base cities, teams dilute fan connection, culture, and home advantage. If cities remain interchangeable pit stops, the Indian Premier League risks becoming a travelling show with no real roots.
