HGSS Opposes Charging Tourists for Rescue Operations

Following multiple interventions on Biokovo mountain, the Croatian Mountain Rescue Service (HGSS) warns tourists often underestimate the terrain but opposes charging for rescue operations, fearing it would lead to worse scenarios.

NAKON što je Biokovo u kratkom razdoblju ponovno bilo poprište više intervencija, HGSS upozorava da turisti planinu često podcijene već s plaže te u brdo krenu bez dovoljno vode, opreme i realne procjene terena, no ističe da odgovor ne smije biti naplata spašavanja, već - prevencija i edukacija.
