The UK government is engaged in "discussions about supporting potential bids" to host the Olympics and the Paralympics in the 2040s, the BBC reported on Wednesday citing the Department of Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS). According to the report, the DCMS said that "initial work examining whether the UK could host the Games for the first time since London 2012 will assess key factors such as potential cost, socio-economic benefit and chance of success".
