The Italian Consul in Melbourne, Mauri, meets the mayor of Hobart
(ANSA) - ROMA, 16 FEB - The Consul General of Italy in Melbourne, Chiara Mauri, met with the mayor of Hobart, Anna Reynolds. They discussed updating the twinning agreement between the city of Hobart, the capital of Tasmania, and L'Aquila. The link between the two cities was formalized in 1997, when the then mayor Antonio Centi traveled to Australia with the aim of establishing relations and contacts with the local Abruzzo communities. More recently, in January 2025, the mayor of L'Aquila, Pierluigi Biondi, together with a delegation from the Carispaq Foundation, made an institutional visit to Australia, meeting Mayor Reynolds in Hobart.
