Teenager invents pesticide remover from peanut shells, competes for $25,000 prize
Thirteen-year-old Minnesota student Arika Kundu has developed a method, called LIGNEX, that uses discarded peanut shells to remove pesticide residues from fresh produce, earning her a spot as a finalist in a competition for a $25,000 prize.
