VUmc hospital in Amsterdam to cease operations by 2040, care tasks to transfer to AMC
The VUmc medical center in Amsterdam will stop functioning as a hospital by 2040, with its healthcare tasks being gradually transferred to the AMC location in Amsterdam-Zuidoost over the next fourteen years. VUmc will continue as a center for research, education, and training.
