
Raja Ravi Varma's 'Yashoda & Krishna' Fetches Record ₹167 Crore, Acquirer Reveals Plans
An oil painting by celebrated Indian artist Raja Ravi Varma, titled 'Yashoda and Krishna,' has sold for a record-breaking ₹167.2 crore (approximately $20 million USD) at auction to industrialist Cyrus S Poonawalla. Poonawalla has since revealed plans to display the painting in either his Mumbai or Pune residence.
