Forest Fire in Vyšný Medzev Fully Extinguished After Two-Day Battle

Professional and volunteer firefighters, supported by an army helicopter, successfully put out a forest fire in eastern Slovakia, with damages estimated at 35,000 euros. The cause remains under investigation.

Hasiči v utorok napoludnie úplne uhasili požiar lesného porastu v katastri obce Vyšný Medzev v okrese Košice-okolie. Pri dvojdňovom zásahu museli profesionálni aj dobrovoľní hasiči nasadiť aj armádny vrtuľník. Príčina vzniku požiaru zatiaľ nie je známa.
