Former Bank Officials Sentenced in Moldova's BEM Fraud Case
Five former officials of Moldova's Banca de Economii (BEM) from 2004–2012 have received sentences ranging from 5 to 13 years in detention for causing damages of approximately three billion lei by neglecting banking prudence principles.
