Germany's Heatwave Death Toll Rises to 12,500, RKI Reports

According to calculations by the Robert Koch Institute (RKI), the number of heat-related deaths in Germany this summer has significantly increased, reaching 12,500.

In diesem Sommer sind nach Berechnungen des Robert Koch-Instituts bisher deutlich mehr Menschen infolge von Hitze gestorben als sonst in ganzen Jahren. Der Hausärzteverband bezeichnet das als »schockierend«, der Ernstfall sei eingetreten.
