Ghana strengthens water body protection against illegal mining with Blue Water Guards
The Ghanaian government is strengthening water body protection against illegal mining (galamsey) by recruiting, training, and deploying an additional 452 Blue Water Guards, bringing the total deployment across eight regions to 2,069 personnel.
