Government Outlines Safety Measures After High School Bus Accident
Following a bus accident on the Ban-etsu Expressway in Fukushima Prefecture that resulted in high school students being killed or injured during an away game, the government has compiled safety measures, including requiring schools to directly arrange drivers for rental or private vehicles used for long-distance club activities and verify their licenses and driving records.
