Hauraki Gulf Shellfish Harvesting Ban Extended to 2028
A ban on harvesting mussels, pāua, and other shellfish in New Zealand's Hauraki Gulf, including Waiheke Island and parts of Coromandel, has been extended until 2028 to allow local populations to recover.
